We are pleased to be launching our Year in Review, highlighting what has been achieved through the delivery of our programmes in the 2022/23 financial year.
Our vision is for everyone to have a safe place to call home and the support they need to keep it. Our goal is that homelessness is prevented wherever possible and when it does occur, people receive the best possible support to secure and keep a safe place to live.
A total of £3,578,654.94 was spent on our grants and funding initiatives in 2022/23. Nearly £1.8m was spent on 4,832 individual grants from the Vicar’s Relief Fund, with over 8,500 people benefiting directly or indirectly.
We gave just over £1.5m in large grants to organisations working to support our vision of everyone having a safe place to call home and the support they need. The Connection at St Martin’s as well as six further Frontline Fund partners were the main beneficiaries of this funding. We spent nearly £300,000 on the Frontline Network, the community that offers funding, support and resources to frontline staff and organisations and encourages collaboration across sectors and organisations.
At St Martin’s Charity, our work, and the impact of that work, covers the whole of the UK. Frontline workers across the country make use of our VRF grants for their clients, helping over 8,000 people this year. We have nine Frontline Network local partners from all four nations who share knowledge, best practice and support for each other, and we also have six organisations that we fund in the form of large, long-term grants through the Frontline Fund across the UK.
We know that homelessness is a problem that can be overcome. We know that together, we can help find a way out for people who find themselves in difficult situations. Our supporters and the frontline staff across the UK have shown that this is possible.
