St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity has a small staff team based at St Martin-in-the-Fields.

Tim Bissett, Executive Director
Tim is our Executive Director. He is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Charity, working closely with the Trustees. Before joining St Martin’s, Tim was the Chief Executive of the Church Urban Fund. His interests include following the fortunes of Southampton FC and playing the trumpet. He is also a keen cyclist and runner.

 

Programmes Team

Amanda Bennett, Partnerships and Participation Manager
Amanda is our Partnerships Manager. She manages the relationships with our 10 Partners and organises our Annual Conference. She has previously worked in frontline roles, Fundraising, Project Management and International Development work in the UK and West Africa, as well as in the diving industry in S.E. Asia. Outside of work, she loves adding extra stamps in her passport, photography and leading an amphibious lifestyle.

Abi Tsuts, VRF Grants Coordinator
Abi is one of our VRF Coordinators. She supports the Charity Team with assessments and payments. She has worked in the charity sector for over 8 years, with the last 6 in a grant giving. In her spare time, she likes eating, reading and at times, is known to actually enjoy doing DIY jobs around the house! 

Elizabeth Hancock, Impact Officer
Elizabeth is our Impact Officer. The impact team are responsible for measuring the effectiveness of the Charity’s work. Elizabeth’s previous roles have included working in research and quality improvement in mental health services, and in nursing. Outside of work, she enjoys growing vegetables on her allotment, and textile crafts, such as weaving and felt making.

James Ingram, Policy and Best Practice Manager
James Ingram leads our policy and influencing work, mobilising evidence, our network, and frontline workers to make positive structural change. James has 15 years’ experience here and internationally, advocating with individuals and communities to achieve sustained impact. He is also Vice-Chair of Patients Voices at the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

Jane Dowden, Impact Manager
Jane is our Impact Manager. She leads on the monitoring, evaluation and learning strategy. She previously worked in the science education sector, managing grants to support students from backgrounds underrepresented in science. She enjoys cycling with her family and watching barn owls.

Naomi Trenear – Participation Officer
Naomi is our Participation Officer. She develops resources for Frontline Workers and building relationships with frontline staff and organisations. This includes managing the Training Fund, as well as planning and organising our national conference. Before joining, she worked in frontline support roles in homelessness, substance misuse and mental health, and she is passionate about systems change and developing effective, psychologically informed ways of working.

Natalie King, Head of Development
Nat is our Head of Development. She manages the Frontline Network and the Vicar’s Relief Fund. In her previous role, she worked with homeless and vulnerably housed clients to help them access support services across London. When not juggling work and family life you’ll find her eating ice-cream and plotting her next adventure.

Nick Stevens, VRF Grants Coordinator
Nick is another of our VRF coordinators, supporting the Team with assessments and payments. He has worked for 18 years in frontline roles, supporting ex-offenders in a housing environment. He enjoys being outdoors at the beach, reading or listening to music. He is also an avid rugby fan.

Nikki Wimborne, Grants Manager
Nikkie is our Grants Manager. She manages the day-to-day running of our main grant programmes (the Vicar’s Relief Fund and the Frontline Fund) and leads on the practical implementation of any new grant programmes. Nikki is an experienced Grants Manager with over twenty years voluntary sector experience. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with friends and family, walking and new experiences.

Tom Unsted, Programmes Coordinator
Tom is our Programme Coordinator. He works across the Vicar’s Relief Fund and the Frontline Network delivering administrative support. Before joining, he worked for Coin Street Community Builders helping deliver their nursery and family support services. His interests include a range of sports, cinema, history and is an avid listener of music.

 

Fundraising Team

Deborah Giles, Individual Giving Manager
Deborah is our Individual Giving Manager. She is responsible for developing the charity’s Individual Giving programme by ensuring that our supporters are valued, appreciated and kept informed of the impact of their support on our work.  Deborah’s role also includes promoting gifts in Wills as another valuable way of supporting the charity. Deborah is a keen walker and gardener, and has participated in two London Marathons.

Kirsty Gurm, Head of Fundraising
Kirsty is our Head of Fundraising. She joined us from Excellent Development in April 2015.  Kirsty’s role is to look after our many donors and spread our message to inspire people to give and get involved. She also manages our High Value Donor Programme. She enjoys cycling, running and escaping to green spaces in London.

 

Communications Team

Asel Guillot, Head of Communications (Currently on Maternity Leave)
Asel is our Head of Comms. She is responsible for all our communications – developing and delivering our comms strategy, including media and PR work. Before joining St Martin’s, Asel was leading on comms at a different charity and prior to that – at Coutts bank. When not at work, Asel is busy with her local church where together with her husband they are involved with Christian ministry.

Josh Macmillan, Digital Manager
Josh is our Digital Manager. He manages all aspects of our digital presence and strategy, leading on social media, website and working with our digital partners. Before joining St Martin’s, he worked in digital marketing for two children’s charities. When not at work, he enjoys running, reading, walks in the countryside with his dogs and sports, particularly cricket and rugby.

Myfanwy-May (Vanny) Lambert, Content Manager
Vanny is our Content Manager. She works with colleagues and clients to tell the story of St Martin’s Charity’s essential work supporting individuals, projects, and frontline workers, towards our joint goal of preventing and alleviating homelessness. Outside of the office, Vanny likes to take in as much theatre as possible and enjoys swimming, quizzes, games night, and reading in her hammock.

Reshna Radiven, Interim Head of Communications
Reshna is our Interim Head of Comms. Reshna manages the delivery of external facing communications with a view to increasing awareness of issues and solutions for those experiencing homelessness to increase support for the Charity. In her free time, she enjoys watching sport with her family and taking long walks with her dog.

 

Operations Team

Angela D’Souza, Head of People & OperationsAngie is our Head of People & Operations. She looks after our people function and has oversight of the general operations of the Charity. Before joining us she managed the business operations for an independent press regulator and was responsible for their corporate governance. She loves live theatre and entertaining family and friends with a good home cooked feast!

Jason Green, People and Operations Manager
Jason is our People and Operations Manager. He is responsible for the office administrative, facilities and financial functions of the Charity. Prior to St Martin’s, Jason worked in community charity and media policy. He enjoys reading, the theatre and cinema, the gym, history and travelling.

Amelia (Milly) Hayes-Newington, People and Operations Coordinator
Milly is our People and Operations Coordinator. She supports the smooth running of charity operations, events, and finances, and leads on researching the most effective ways to ensure team wellbeing, so they can continue working to alleviate homelessness. Outside of work Milly enjoys walking dogs with friends, exploring arts and culture, and travelling to new places.
