This overcrowding caused the breakdown of her relationship with her parent , and the stress of the situation had severely exacerbated Diana’s existing health conditions.
After months of searching, Diana was able to find accommodation which suits her needs – a property without stairs and with an accessible shower. Unfortunately, Diana was unable to afford the deposit and rent in advance requested by the landlord, but her support worker with Housing Rights was able to apply to the VRF for a grant to contribute to this. Thanks to the grant, and the discretionary loan she received from another organisation, Diana is now settled in her new home with her child.
