The 2020 BBC Radio 4 Christmas Appeal with St Martin-in-the-Fields launched on the 6th of December 2020.
For over 90 years BBC Radio 4 listeners have supported the work of St Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square, generously giving over £7,000,000 in the last two years.
This year has been a particularly difficult one. Throughout 2020, the people that rely on our services have remained at the centre of all our decisions, and ensuring we support them continues to be our number one priority. Because of the generous support of donors to the Christmas Appeal, people like Sean were able to find support through the Covid-19 crisis, and over 8,000 people like Austin received a vital grant from the Vicar’s Relief Fund (VRF) in 2019/20.
This year, our Appeal theme is The Key to Home. As the pandemic leaves many vulnerable and facing huge uncertainty, we are working hard to help people put down deposits, secure safe housing, and find the key to a home of their own. Whether that comes through a grant from the VRF, or a hot meal and advice at The Connection, we need your support more than ever before. You can help us in three ways:
- Tune in to our broadcast on the day of the Appeal. Keep an eye on our social media channels (Instagram and Twitter) for updates.
- Donate so we can continue our work. You can donate online here or find other ways to donate here.
- Get involved with our community fundraising and have fun with friends and family while raising funds for us. Find out more about Sunday Gatherings here.
Our work is only possible thanks to the generosity of our donors. As ever, we are very grateful for all your support.
