For over 90 years BBC Radio 4 listeners have supported the work of St Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square, generously giving over £7,000,000 in the last two years.

In 2019, the Appeal theme was Home Starts Here.

Many people, for many reasons, find themselves a long way from home. But finding your way home can begin anywhere. It can start with a chat. Someone listening. It can start with a cup of tea. For many people, the way home starts here at St Martin’s, made possible through the generosity of many thousands who have chosen to support our work.

For 93 years the Christmas Appeal has been helping people find the shelter, security and safety of home. Across the UK, our Vicar’s Relief Fund makes emergency grants of up to £350, so a person experiencing homelessness can pay a deposit on a flat or someone in rent arrears can avoid eviction. In London, The Connection at St Martin’s helps people move off the streets. The team offers practical help, as well as support to tackle the underlying causes of rough sleeping, enabling people to find a way home again.

Our work is only possible thanks to the generosity of our donors. If you can, please donate today.
