The Training Programme, managed by the Frontline Network is designed to respond directly to what we are hearing from frontline workers and aims to make training and professional development opportunities available to frontline staff when their employer does not have funds to provide this.
The Frontline Network supports staff working on the frontline to specialist workers and organisations across the UK to access new funding, share expertise and find new and innovative ways of providing meaningful support for anyone experiencing homelessness.
The Training Programme, managed by the Frontline Network is designed to respond directly to what we are hearing from frontline workers and aims to make training and professional development opportunities available to frontline staff when their employer does not have funds to provide this.
By including events and worker wellbeing training in the eligibility we hope to make more learning opportunities available to frontline staff across the homelessness sector.
The Training Fund offers individual grants of up to £500 for individual frontline workers and £1500 for groups to access training, qualifications or courses to support them in their roles.
Recent courses we have funded frontline workers to attend included Professional Resilience; Housing Benefit and Supported Accommodation; Personal Safety; Risk Management, and Homelessness and Allocation Law Advanced.
Frontline workers can apply for wellbeing related training for their team – to support staff to look after themselves whilst they are supporting others.
Under the new offering, frontline staff can now also apply to attend sector learning events that have training elements. For example, this could be for a conference, symposium or networking event – the focus must be relevant to your work with people experiencing homelessness.
