Our fundraising promise

Our supporters are our lifeblood.

Without you behind us, we wouldn’t be in a position to support thousands of homeless and vulnerably housed people each year.

Our priority is to be absolutely transparent and accountable and treat you with the respect you deserve.

Our fundraising promise

  • We will be honest, accountable and treat you with the respect you deserve
  • We will never sell your personal data or swap it with any other organisation and we will use your details in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998
  • You can contact us at any time to change the way we communicate with you. See our keeping in touch page.
  • We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator and abide by their rules.

Ethical Gift Acceptance Policy

Our St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity staff, volunteers and supporters know how vital fundraising is to us. Donations help us work to ensure everyone has a safe place to call home. We are very grateful for the donations we receive but occasionally we may need to refuse a gift. Accepting some gifts could expose St Martin’s Charity to legal, ethical or reputational risks.

To protect St Martin’s Charity, we have an Ethical Gift Acceptance Policy which includes a Risk Assessment to be carried out against eligible donations. The Risk Assessment process considers publicly available information to evaluate specific factors, for example whether the funds are the result of illegal activity.
