Aasmah Mir

Aasmah Mir is a Sony Gold Award-winning broadcaster who co-presents ‘Saturday Live‘ on BBC Radio 4, reports for ‘Tonight’ on ITV1 and cooks a cracking curry.

This year she presents BBC Radio 4 Christmas Appeal: Making a Difference – which highlights the work of The Connection at St Martin’s and the Vicar’s Relief Fund.

She also reports for ITV’s flagship current affairs programme ‘Tonight‘.

On September 18th 2014, Aasmah co-presented ‘Scotland Decides’ – ITV’s overnight results programme for the Scottish independence referendum.

Born and brought up in Glasgow, she graduated in law from Bristol University.  At the age of 22, she landed a job as a newsreader at STV in Glasgow, becoming a familiar face on ‘Scotland Today’.

She produced programmes at BBC Radio Scotland and BBC London, and reported for Central TV’s current affairs programme “Thirty Minutes”.
