On Thursday 28th November, we hosted a reception to mark the launch of our Annual Christmas Appeal.

The reception brought together over 60 of our supporters and stakeholders from across the homelessness sector.

St Martins Charity‘s Chief Executive Duncan Shrubsole led a discussion with representatives from Platfform and MAC-UK, who have received funding from St Martins Charity’s Mental Health Fund. They talked about what they have achieved so far, the challenges they face in doing their work, and the solutions they have been able to implement to overcome them and to achieve better outcomes for the people they work with.

Attendees were also given a preview of the Appeal that aired on 1st December. The charity’s trustee Reverend Sam Wells read the appeal to the audience.

You can listen here to the appeal as well as Making a Difference, which features the stories of people we have supported.

We shared a video of one of the people who was supported by the Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields, Carla, who also featured in Making a Difference. The Connection receives a grant from St Martin’s Charity to support people who are rough sleeping in Westminster to find a safe place to call home.
